eSight Energy, developers of the leading eSight energy management software, will be launching Project Tracking, a new module designed to enable users to define and achieve energy goals. By centralising all energy-related data and allowing users to determine the feasibility of energy projects, the tool will virtually eliminate wasted investment and ultimately improve an organisation’s bottom-line.
The Project Tracking module is made up of ‘policies’ which represent high level savings targets in order to allow companies to gauge their energy usage and set actionable plans for improvement. The policies can be anything relatable to their energy usage such as “Save 25% of cost over the next 5 years”, eSight will then identify, analyse and verify the energy saving opportunities to achieve this target.
All data available through Project Tracking is shown in a clear, visual format. For example, the opportunity analysis is displayed as a customisable bubble chart, from which users can clearly identify the projects that will result in the highest return on investment over a given time period. The entire module is designed as a simple and concise workflow with an extremely user friendly interface, which provides an easy to read representation of all aspects of the project life cycle.
Also new to the next eSight release is Map Navigation, a feature which will allow multi-site, multi-national users to quickly navigate to key analysis for a chosen location via an interactive map. The new feature also visualises raised alarms for individual sites with clear indicators, allowing users to identify and react to abnormal energy use efficiently.
On the new release, Sue Duma, Managing Director of eSight Energy Ltd. commented: “We’re excited to be introducing some fantastic new features in our next major release. The Project Tracking module in particular is an addition in line with our overall mission to empower our users to make better decisions relating to energy, and ultimately, make savings!”
